ALAN CHI CHIU CHAN
FOUNDER / EXECUTIVE PRODUCER 

Alan is a Hong Kong-raised, New York-based filmmaker with extensive experience in producing indie and feature films. His multifaceted expertise spans various aspects of filmmaking, ranging from pre-production to post-production. During his tenure as an intern at Manhattan Neighborhood Network, he effectively collaborated with a team to produce, film, and edit impactful media content that delved into profound analyses of social justice issues.  
 

Additionally, Alan served as an assistant studio manager, where he meticulously oversaw the intake, inspection, servicing, and storage management of equipment, ensuring adherence to inventory accuracy and quality control standards. He also played a pivotal role as a teacher assistant, imparting his knowledge to aspiring filmmakers across multiple classes. On a broadcasting front, Alan contributed to thesilkroadtv, a Chinese TV station based in New York, by offering valuable feedback, filming and editing diverse videos, and producing programs that shed light on the international Chinese student experience in NYC.
 

More recently, Alan has spearheaded the establishment of Paradox Films, dedicated to crafting visually impactful works through open communication and collaborative teamwork. His productions, such as "BASTARDS" and "SINKING" have garnered official selections at prestigious events like the Buffalo International Film Festival and New York Shorts International Film Festival. Currently, Alan is engaged in co-producing several episodes of short dramas, collaborating closely with renowned directors from China and making significant strides in his filmmaking journey.
